Music by INTP for INTPs…well, it’s for any rebellious kids/misfits out there.
I’m back with another original song!
This one is about how bad parenting, the traditional school system, society, and mindless TV shows can brainwash kids not to think for themselves.
Lyrics were inspired by phrases adults actually said to me as a kid. I’m sure many of you can relate.
How many of these phrases have you actually heard growing up?
As usual, I wrote, performed, and produce the music myself, and directed the music video. If you want to know the inspiration behind the song in-depth, go here :D

NT Moments - How to use your ENTJ
INTP: *stuggles to open a jar*
ENTJ: *takes over* Don’t send an INTP to do an ENTJ’s job.
INTP: But everything is ENTJ’s job.
ENTJ: Yes, I do everything well.
INTP: And I don’t have to do anyyything!
NT Moments - Deal?
INTP: *while hugging ENTJ* I can’t live without hugs anymore. How am I gonna live without hugs anymore?
ENTJ: Why are you gonna live without hugs?
INTP: You’re gonna die.
ENTJ: *laughs with a cracked voice*
INTP: Die same time, ok?
NT Moments - Snacc
INTP 1: One time, a friend bit me without warning.
INTP 2: I don’t warn ENTJ when I bite him, either.
INTP 1: What did he do to deserve that!?
INTP 2: He looks like a snacc.
INTP 1: Don’t look like a snacc or INTP 2 will bite you.
INTP 2: Yummmm
NT Moments - Delicious
INTP: *bites ENTJ’s arm*
ENTJ: Ow!
INTP: You’re delicious.
ENTJ: *stares*
INTP: Take the compliment!!!
ENTJ: …
INTP: Say you’re delicious.
ENTJ: …
INTP: Say it!!
ENTJ: I’m delicious.
INTP: *bites*
NT Moments - That’s exactly how anniversaries work. Change my mind.
INTP: We forgot our anniversary again! It was a month ago.
ENTJ: How long have we been together?
INTP: Since 2014.
ENTJ: 7 years!
INTP: All the cells in my body when I first met you already died.
ENTJ: *chuckles*
INTP: Nice to meet you, new ENTJ.
ENTJ: *holds a hand out for a shake*
INTP: *shakes* Does our anniversary reset?
ENTJ: Sure.
NT Moments - Alright, then
INTP: Do you think I can microwave this with the plastic?
ENTJ: Probably not. But you don’t want to have any kids, so yes you can.
INTP: Cool.
I’m back with more INTP-esque thought-provoking music. The video is a recording of my live performance at Elements Music Festival on 29 Nov 2021.
Tales of Empty Hearts
Let me tell you a tale about a great dreamer
Hiding in her own world of endless wonder
Afraid to ever find out that her failures are real
Never act, never love, never hurt, never feel
That’s a verse from my song called “Tales of Empty Hearts.” It’s actually an attack on INTPs. Well, myself, mostly. And those like me who live in our head too much without acting. Or realizing that inaction is already a failure.
The song also talks about other characters who are not living their fullest potential or authentic selves. I was thinking of enneagram types when writing each character. If you know enneagram, I’m curious if you can guess which types?
Don’t Cancel Me
I’m hollow inside
An echo chamber for your needs
My voice is for hire
Your social justice mercenary
I wrote this song to save my future ass when my dark humor gets me cancelled. Just kidding. Or not :p
Don’t Cancel Me talks about the hypocrisy in all of us. We all want to be accepted by others on some level, whether it’s friends, family, colleagues, or even followers on social media. No one can deny that at one point or another, we’ve said something we don’t truly believe in just to be socially acceptable. Sometimes it’s so small that there’s no harm done. Other times, these small things accumulate and we become a hypocrite out of habit without being aware of it.
To Win, Will You Give Up?
He struck his hand across her cheekbone
Under the guise of true love
Sealed my eyes shut, it never happened
None of my fucking business
You’ve heard of this one before, probably. If not, the music video experience is much much much better -> https://youtu.be/41wUfGX8qHQ (trigger warning for violence done to serve a meaningful purpose).
To Win, Will You Give Up? reflects on the greed that can overcome us when we’re single-mindedly fixate on a goal. Is the end goal worth the humanity and ethics we sacrifice?
The Last Lullaby
I will watch you burn in your own flame
Drown in your own illusory perfection
Too blind to see with your hollow eyes
I’ll never be you
I wrote The Last Lullaby in 2012 to signify a major turning point in my life…the point where I decided to say “fuck it.”
I mean, it was the point where I decided to let go of all expectations and external pressure that influenced who I am, whether it’s parents, society, or lies I told myself. It was the point where I decide that the path I take is my own responsibility.
It’s very different from the types of music I write now. I no longer want to write lyrics about my personal life, nor write in second-person as if I’m putting the blame on someone else.
Now, most of my lyrics are in first person. It’s my way of shadow works, in Jungian psychology. I need to admit these parts of myself first before putting them out to the world, if I were to be ok with anyone singing along with my lyrics.
Though this song marked an significant decision in my life, so it’s still very dear to me.
Thoughts?
I welcome thoughts, analysis, feedback, what the songs make you think about, how they make you feel…
Also, I have a tiny discord server for people who like my music and/or my blog, and nonsensical Ne conversations. DM if you want in :D
